Der Handwerkerparkausweis der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar erleichtert die Arbeit von Handwerksbetrieben, die häufig an unterschiedlichen Einsatzorten in der Region tätig sind. Denn Handwerker müssen nicht mehr für jeden Ort eine eigene Ausnahmegenehmigung zum Parken im öffentlichen Raum beantragen, sondern können seit 2008 den regionalen Handwerkerparkausweis nutzen, der in der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar und der TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe gültig ist.

Handwerkerparkausweis über Verwaltungsgrenzen hinaus

Inhaber des Handwerkerparkausweises der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar genießen seit 2008 die Vorteile einer über Verwaltungsgrenzen hinweg allgemein gültigen Genehmigung zum Parken in der Rhein-Neckar-Region und der TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe. Mit ihm dürfen Service- oder Werkstattwagen werktags für die Dauer des Arbeitseinsatzes an bestimmten Stellen parken, sofern in zumutbarer Entfernung keine andere Parkmöglichkeit besteht.

Gültig in der Region Rhein-Neckar und der TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe

Der Handwerkerparkausweis erleichtert die Arbeit von Handwerksbetrieben, die häufig an unterschiedlichen Einsatzorten in der Region Rhein-Neckar tätig sind. Während sie bislang für jeden Einsatzort eine eigene kommunale Ausnahmengenehmigung zum Parken im öffentlichen Raum beantragen mussten, können sie nun den regionalen Handwerkerparkausweis nutzen, der in allen 290 Kommunen der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar anerkannt wird. Das sind die kreisfreien Städten Frankenthal, Heidelberg, Landau, Ludwigshafen, Mannheim, Neustadt, Speyer und Worms sowie alle Städte und Gemeinden in den Kreisen Bergstraße, Bad Dürkheim, Germersheim, Südliche Weinstraße, Neckar-Odenwald, Rhein-Neckar und Rhein-Pfalz. Zudem kann er seit 2011 auch in der TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe verwendet werden, also in den Städten Karlsruhe und Baden-Baden sowie den Kreisen Karlsruhe und Rastatt.

Kooperatives E-Government in föderalen Strukturen

Das Projekt ist Teil des 2010 initiierten Modellvorhabens „Kooperatives E-Government in föderalen Strukturen“. In diesem wird am Beispiel der Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar gezeigt, wie Vernetzung und der sinnvolle Einsatz von IT dazu beitragen,  Verwaltungsvorgänge kundenfreundlicher, einfacher, schneller und kostengünstiger zu gestalten. Partner sind die Länder Baden-Württemberg, Hessen und Rheinland-Pfalz.
